Teachers
Ada & Sirom
Ada discovered Swing dancing in 2018 and was immediately captivated by the music and the thrill of couple dancing. Since then she has thrown herself into it with passion. Lindy Hop, Jazz, Balboa and a soft spot for Shag—she loves the unique feelings that different dances and different styles offer. She’s deeply curious about the ways these dances are taught and with which values, alongside the history and culture they come from. This curiosity inspires her to constantly seek out new teachers and perspectives, both in Italy and abroad.
Sirom Cazzolli is a passionate swing dancer and the founder of Alpine Jitterbugs and the festival Shag ’n’ Bal in Innsbruck. He competes and teaches internationally, with a focus on Collegiate Shag, Balboa, and Lindy Hop. Recently, he has started developing concepts for teaching Shag ’n’ Bal in a structured and accessible way. His classes emphasize technical clarity, flow, and effortless connection in both leading and following.
Cherry & Filip
Cherry and Filip met in 2013 on a Lindy Hop course in SWINGOUT.PL dance studio. They started to dance Collegiate Shag in 2014 among a bunch of enthusiasts who brought it to Warsaw and partnered up while performing with the Warsaw Shag Team. Soon after they became instructors in SWINGOUT.PL and since that moment they teach regularly Lindy Hop and Collegiate Shag around Poland and abroad.
Their dance is full of energy. Cherry dances with a wild Latin temperament, elegance and open head, playing with the rhythm and shaking things out. She has loved to dance for as long as she can remember. At the age of 6 she started with ballet and contemporary, then switched to ballroom and lyrical jazz for a while. Filip is a musician for many years, playing on the guitar, trombone and mandolin. He’s one of the founders of The Cajun Spices - a Polish gypsy jazz band. His passion reflects the way he dances and makes it a fine form of expression.
They are full of enthusiasm, looking for new ideas and challenges. The first class they gave together was held in a Zoo for a group of children.
Standa & Danka
Standa and Danka are passionate local teachers from Brno. Standa's enthusiasm for Collegiate Shag, Danka's vast experience with many dance styles, and their energy is something you definitely want to experience.
Bands
Swing Brigade
We discovered this Croatian gem at the Bal-Shag Festival in 2020, and it was love at first sight! Even if you can't attend the whole festival, don't miss the Friday party! The group includes dancers who know exactly what we want to hear to keep us on our feet. (Psst – their music is perfect for Balboa too!) Members of the Swing Brigade stand as a cornerstone of the Gypsy swing scene in Zagreb, Croatia. Comprised of seasoned musicians including Franjo Stojaković on clarinet, Radovan Bjelajac on violin, Ivan Grgić and Mirko Prišlin on guitar, and Mario Jamnić on double bass, this experienced ensemble embodies the timeless spirit of Django Reinhardt's music fused with the American swing, as well as the Eastern European music traditions.
Heart of Dixie
Meet Heart of Dixie—Brno’s own 9-piece swing powerhouse.
Born in 2015 for the local scene, they mix heavy big-band hits with fresh tunes and a wild dixieland vibe. They spend their years tearing up social floors and festival stages all over Europe—from Istanbul and Kraków to Seville and Dresden.
They are high-energy, deeply obsessed with live swing, and guaranteed to turn the night into an absolute core memory. Get ready to move.
Duke's Ending
Looking for the most energetic swing band in Brno? Look no further. Duke’s Ending is a crew of the most passionate students from our swing music school who simply can’t get enough of the rhythm.
After a weekend packed with fast tempos and high energy, they’re bringing a mix of mid-tempo tracks to the floor so you can catch your breath without missing a beat.
See you on Sunday!
